Please have calm and mysterious music playing in Pale Heart patrol!

Listening to the Lo-Fi Beats to Tithe To video you guys just posted, it's awesome. I'm playing it while running around the Throne World and it actually kind of relit that Destiny fire in me, if only for the time being. But that got me thinking. All of the destinations that came after the Dreaming City (and sometimes it and the ones before are also guilty of this) mostly only play high action music. Which that's great for big fights, like playing Battle Ready when you've activated the Heroic mode of the Vex Spire Integration public event on Neomuna, but having that kind of music playing during normal gameplay spoils the mood of mystery when you're just exploring or running around shooting intermittent baddies. It makes the zone feel uneventful. Not because it is, but because the music doesn't match what's happening. Savathun's Throne World is an incredibly mysterious and cool place that encourages exploration and looking around. But it's always blasting battle music and deep horns? It makes it feel like you should be running and gunning nonstop, when half of the destination is exploration. The style of songs from this playlist, like the stuff that plays in orbit, would be perfect for a patrol zone, not just orbit or youtube!

  • A Hat In Time ~ Peace and Tranquility A perfect example of a song you can get lost with your own time for hours. Those style of songs can fit a more explore-focused destination. I’m kinda sad there aren’t more choir entries into the ost of this game, especially in patrolling areas like Europa or the moon that make you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, that could fill with echoing voices, showing how alone you are when patrolling. This new destination having voice lines throughout this light-dark saga, with music excerpts from all these years would be great. I’m just hopeful they will do some nostalgia focus with their sound design, and not stick to the formula they’ve been wringing like a towel for a while.

I want to hear gun fire and carnage not a fugue

    • I think the revamped version of Trespass that can play during Savathun's Spire is one of the best songs we've had like that in a good while. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24ISy1PWbFw All-time favourite definitely goes to the Pyramid version of Io's Lost Oasis from Season of Arrivals. That track is/was indescribably good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuywyh7wMBQ
