•
You can't make this up. People are literally complaining about free stuff.
Missing the point entirely. It's eververse ornaments the armorified to put in activities behind a rng system, drop rate is low

  • I didn't miss the point. You can get what was supposed to be an Eververse ornament set for free by playing ritual activities, as promised. It's what people wanted. They get it, then find a problem with how the set is obtained.

They said they'd take a paid set and put it in the game to get, but once again they spite us - by making the drop chance absurdly low - by having it drop only in pvp, gambit or strikes/nightfall - by making us pay with tokens to ornamentify WHAT WAS LITERALLY ORIGINALY ORNAMENTS. You bungie defenders are killing this game.

  • this is probably obnoxious but i cant help but largely add on to your point from my perspective that's probably wrong this classically boils down to its free why are you complaining its free now VS sure but its how they made it free isn't right (fair isn't the issue) basically bungie lazily dumped it on the transmog system, its your problem and if you stand up for everyone else in the practice of that you're entitled despite it all i don't understand why people are looking down on those who complain. complaining is a valid thing to do its why this set is free in the first place, bungie saw reason in the complaint for this change to happen. yet bungie back handed the approach instead of making it a universal set in the eververse store, they made an armor drop and now its up to whoever wants it to go out and get it with ingame currency (that can lead to real money). they could've kept it in the store and shown it as 0 bright dust or just bright dust in general but instead of make it like every universal ornament the last few years they did something where they could still benefit. bungie wont further care because the rallied complaints have now moved on, mostly satisfied so now in that satisfaction regardless of delivery, anyone who complains is outcasted again this is part of the destiny™ cycle this always happens

  • Yes, it does indeed show as ornaments in collections. They likely didn't change the drop source flavor text because it was changed in short notice, as it wasn't originally intended for ritual playlists. Joe Blackburn said we would be able to get the armor/ornament set originally intended for EV by playing ritual playlists. Nothing was discussed about drop chance, just that it would be earnable for free. Transmog is literally free. As for it's original intent of being ornaments, it was changed to armor in short notice and the UI has not been changed yet. If listening and comprehending English is defending Bungie, then whatever. You're complaining about something that was given for free that originally wasn't meant to be.

I think a lot of people are missing the point. The fact that it's free is irrelevant. It's about how Bungie goes about giving players access to this free set. Before it was chosen as a free set it would have been a paid set. We all know that paid sets are ornaments that can be used to change the appearance of sets you can grind in the game. So is there any logic in Bungie changing an ornament set into a ritual armor set that you have to grind out and has an extremely low drop rate? From the perspective of most players, it doesn't make sense but for Bungie it does. 1. It forces players to play ritual activities in order to grind the pieces of armor. The more time players spend playing the game the happier Bungie gets. It doesn't really matter to Bungie if players are or aren't having fun as long as players are spending time WITHIN Destiny. 2. It gives Bungie a subtle way to still get paid for this armor set. You need synthweave to turn a piece of armor into an ornament. There's an entire gameplay loop set around gaining synthweave that ties into the first point I made. There is a cap on how much synthweave you can grind. This way Bungie hopes to pressure players (who are at the cap ) to buy their synthweave bundles. This whole discussion could have been avoided if Bungie simply didn't use scummy tactics to give players a free set. Simply give out the armor in the form of a free ornament bundle in the Eververse store. Problem solved. You have to acknowledge the fact that Bungie tries very hard to upset players in multiple ways. It's almost as if they are trying to sabotage their game intentionally.
