Save extra loadouts in DIM and just leave your top 10 for hot swapping. We don’t need more than 10. Not when there are other, more pressing QoL changes that need to be made.

A lot of people don’t like using DIM. I mainly don’t like it because it doesn’t allow me to switch when I’m in an activity. So whenever I go into an activity I’m stuck with what I have. There’s also the fact that I’ve noticed that DIM doesn’t save a loadout properly. There’s so many times where I’ll save a loadout on DIM. Go to equip it and it’s completely different from what I saved it as.

2 things: 1. You don’t need more than 10 loadouts for one activity. Or even a single playtime, unless you’re doing a bunch of different low man raids. Load whatever you need to before you start the activity and overwrite whatever you don’t need for it. 2. Refresh your DIM before you save and “Fill In Using Equipped” because I know what you’re talking about. If it still doesn’t update, close the app and reopen. It will work. You’re just not letting DIM sync. If you’re doing that, then it’s OE, not DIM. If this is too much to ask, idk what else to tell you. As much as I would like more, I don’t NEED more.

I need more. You should be able to have 20+

No you don’t. Use DIM.

Edited by Cosmic Zaa: 9/12/2023 4:33:02 AMWhy doesn't DIM put your saved loadouts as tiny boxes like the in-game loadouts? So much scrolling will have to be done. Why would somebody use this
-
Because it’s an extension of the game. It can only do what the game is capable of. So 10 quick swap loadouts. It’s also free and not made by a multibillion dollar company. DIM is a library for loadouts. Save your 10 most used on the game. You can also search a specific loadout in DIM. So be descriptive with your names and it won’t be a problem.

It wouldn't be difficult to be able to put all of your DIM loadouts into an easy to find box system like the in-game loadouts. They dont need to be together, thats the point of it, but they could do much better. This app just seems like it's more of a slog than neccessary, and unless better than this comes, i still vote for more loudouts

Edited by Nezarec Toesy Wosies: 9/8/2023 7:51:50 PMI’m just saying I don’t think it’ll hurt to add like 4 more loadout slots in game. Besides when you go to loadouts in game. There’s areas at the top and bottom. That is enough room to fit in 4 extra at the top and 4 extra at the bottom. Making it 18 loadouts in total. Also just because you “don’t” need more doesn’t mean that other people don’t need more. A lot of people make a lot of different builds to use. I understand you can use DIM for the extra ones. But like I said plenty of people don’t like using something like DIM. There’s plenty of builds I had to delete for other ones. Sure yeah I could’ve saved them on DIM. But honestly DIM isn’t really that good. I would much rather use the loadout system in game. It’s a lot better to use in my opinion.

Edited by THE K1LL1ONA1RE: 9/8/2023 8:46:29 PMConsider this: loading into the tower takes various times because it has to load everyone’s vault. Consider how much memory it would take for the game’s servers to retain 8 additional loadouts (almost double the current) for every player. We have no idea what their technical limitations are. For all we know that could slow down activity load times. So for now, make do with what we’ve got. There are solutions to make it manageable (or tolerable) I would love more loadouts. But the fact that they even exist in the first place is enough for me. It was a massive QoL improvement. But it’s always MORE MORE MORE with this community. If you really feel a need to have 18 loadouts, consider how often you really switch it up. Or if you’re just wanting an excuse to not use other methods. DIM even lets you name them whereas D2 does not. You have to pick from a list of presets. It really is not the pain you’re making it out to be. Edit: No, DIM isn’t as smooth as the in game system, but it is a great bank for builds that you may not use as frequently. You don’t have to use it as your primary. More like a library.
