because you probably picked up an ionic trace
that gives the weapon volt (or in other words "overload")
You can only have one champion mod active at a time, and the perk of the weapon itself comes before the artifact

yee my thoughts exactly, except it doesnt work when the exotic perk [i]isn't[/i] active either. Tempest Cascade activates on an Ionic Trace and its overload then, but before that its a normal exotic fusion rifle so seems like it shd be unstop

Welllllll….. that’s a toss up on if they touch that one with a 10 foot pole. Because the code is going to be chopped and have WAYY to many Boolean functions attached too it as is just to make it function the way it does especially since it had problems with stunning overloads at the start and they fixed that but now the problem is it doesn’t stun BOTH unstop and OL…. The way it boils down is this it has a OL stun capacity from a unique perk not an intrinsic but since it is unique to the exotic it is probably falling under the “intrinsic traits trump all other possible champion stun options IE: radiant for AB or something similar. I agree it’s misleading that it should be able to utilize the ability to stun both depending on if you have collected an ionic trace or not but I can guarantee they probably won’t fix it due to the fact that wearing 2 fusion rifles makes it register but only one doesn’t meaning it’s perk is pulling the trump card even though it shouldn’t be, did you by chance check to see if ionic traces removed the unstop from BOTH fusion rifles ? Just curious.
