Cheese is legit way to do riven. Normal way is hard mode 🤣

how 2 riven legit: by mapidor everyone on the lobby steps on each of their own plate to begin the encounter, each team member flies down to their assigned location (tree or crystal), riven is going to appear on either side and is either going to shoot fire or have tentacles: IF riven is shooting fire (wait for her to shoot fire, and then shoot her glowing mouth enough to reveal two eyes) IF riven has tentacles out of her back (go underneath one tentacle, and wait for her to slam it. Once she has slammed the tentacle, shoot the glowing tentacle to reveal two eyes) The side that didn’t get riven waits for the other team reveal eyes and callout the said eyes (#1-10 OR Right and Left callouts if you’re weird), once riven comes to the other teams side prepare to dps her mouth for a short time, then shoot the eyes that the other team called out when rivens mouth closes (optimal). NOTE: scout rifles are the kings at shooting eyes NOTE: don’t use things like strand, thunderlord, outbreak (or anything that has some sort of tracking, because it might pop and wrong eye and your teammates will be cringing at you) An eye of riven also spawns in the room during the callout phase, which is used for progressing the encounter: Two predetermined members are going to do mechanics on each side, alternating between doing the eye and tower on each floor on their side. Person doing the eye first is going to pick it up after riven is dealt with and call out the symbol they see where the person in the tower is standing, call out what symbol it is so the person in the tower can help guide the person doing eye to the correct location to dunk the symbol (using grenade key), after each successful dunk a lift is going to open up starting at the back of the room then at the middle of the room. NOTE: every room layout is the same, except tree side’s second floor. After each team has done their mechanics you’re going to reveal more eyes on the upper most floor where the encounter started, riven is going to move between 3 spots and is going to have either tentacles or breathing fire again, do the same thing you did on the lower floors. If done correctly you should have 6 more correct eyes to shoot after her mouth closes during the massive dps phase (preferably 2 people shooting 3 eyes each to make it easier) Massive NOTE: snipers and shotguns deal 50% less damage to riven due to the meta back in forsaken. Might be fixed? Dunno. after dps you will have to go back on your original plates you started the encounter on ,because you’ll start immediately getting a creeping darkness debuff after dps and if stacks too high you die lmao, once everyone goes on your plates, you’ll slowly fall down and shoot boils on riven (the best part of the encounter) which deal a small amount of damage. Rinse and repeat till you get enough damage to meet the healthcare. Pretty sure if you done the cheese, you know how the final bit works. [b] *i suggest you look at a video guide that is more comprehensive than this big wall of text, but feel free to look at it for certain tips. [/b] I think doing riven legit is a better experience than the cheese. also little side note: that epic music you hear Reddit talking about that plays during the real version of the encounter, doesn’t play at all. It’s just an extended version of the track only on YouTube.

I hope they stealth fix it one day just so I can come here and read all the whining.

Beat it legit 4or 5 times. The best boss fight in destiny when done legit IMO

Been on plenty of lfgs that fail the dps check for the cheese repeatedly, only way I’m ever running it legit is if we specifically choose to.
