I expected crafting for Dead Man's Tale and Hawkmoon, but Dead Messenger? Does that mean Whisper of the Worm and Outbreak will be craftable? I don't like the precedent being set with "Exotic weapons entering the playlist will become craftable" from today's TWID. I love the idea of being able to go into a playlist that's like a time capsule, but it leaves such a sour taste in my mouth because I don't want to have to regrind old exotics I've had for years. Another thing, when new exotic missions rotate in, I do not want players to have to wait weeks or even a month to be able to earn and grind loot from these activities. I would love to see a featured mission weekly with guaranteed deepsight, but with an option to select a specific mission to replay similar to the Grandmaster Nightfall catch up node.
So you are upset that people will be able to get better versions of these guns

 • Not at all. I just don't think every weapon entering the playlist should become craftable if they weren't before (with the exception of Dead Man's Tale and Hawkmoon) and if Bungie thinks they need new traits to be better, they should just update the base weapon that's already available (Dead Messenger in next season's case) instead of coopting the grind we had for the full unlock of Revision Zero and Vexcalibur.

 •
explain?
Explain your poor reasoning? You literally believe that making weapon’s craftable devalues your current one and is pointless. You believe that bungie should just change the current fixed rolled versions instead of adding a variety of perks to a craft-able weapon which would make it feel more versatile. Your reasoning is so poor clearly because you just dont wanna grind. You obviously rather be handed it. Doesn’t take a genius to see that

 •
You literally believe that making weapon’s craftable devalues your current one and is pointless.
Yup, that's exactly what they'e doing. It's similar to what's already happened to the overall game when they added weapon crafting. Now it's applying to exotics.
You believe that bungie should just change the current fixed rolled versions instead of adding a variety of perks to a craft-able weapon which would make it feel more versatile.
They are adding one additional trait to Dead Messenger. Far from it having a variety of perks. If this is more in regards to Hawkmoon and DMT, I'm not upset about those because this was what players have been asking for and what the expectation was. I think it's great they're adding more traits to them and actually making it easier for players who didn't have these weapons before have an easier path to acquiring them while also clearing up vault space for players who have multiple copies of those weapons. But for a non-craftable, non-rng, static rolled gun...
Your reasoning is so poor clearly because you just dont wanna grind. You obviously rather be handed it.
I've already put in my time over a year ago when I originally acquired Dead Messenger, obtained its catalyst, and grinded it to completion. Many players did. There's no reason all of that should be undone for one additional trait. I'm tired of the time we've put into the game years ago being disrespected by what is arguably a worse path of acquisition for everyone over a single trait. If they want this method to be the new way to earn exotics like they've done for Revision Zero and Vexcalibur, then they should do that for new Exotics with new missions. Not returning ones. Something else to think about, if and when the Wicked Implement mission gets put in, are we all going to have to earn the weapon again because they decided to make it craftable?
Doesn’t take a genius to see that
But hey, if you like what they're doing, good for you and I hope I'm wrong and like the reissued exotic acquisition method. No need to be a condescending jerk about it. Let's just agree to disagree

You have yet to give 1 good reason why any of this is negative. They are adding 1 perk we know of to dead messenger. There is no negatives to any of this

 • Hey, it's cool if you don't actually want to comprehend what I'm telling you. I've given you my reasons and even made time to elaborate for you on what I consider the negatives to be on their implementation of the Exotic Mission Rotator, but I think you're too hung up on getting 1 additional trait that you just see everything I say as obsolete and that's ok! I'm glad you're happy about it, but I'm not because I think we deserve better. There's just no need to be rude about it if you disagree.
