I'm disappointed, because since destiny 2's release...there's not truly been anything in this game that excites me or makes me happy.
The clearest example I’ve read on here of a player’s choices being the root of their own problems.

Disconnecting myself from it when I've been invested in it for nearly 10 years won't make me any happier. I'd just be more depressed I don't play it anymore when it DID make me happy (i was exaggerating in what you quoted...nobody plays a game for nearly 10 years and dislikes every second of it...I'm not THAT delusional). I'm just over seasonal content and I'm over the sandbox team giving us good changes mixed with really bad ones. That cycle has gotten so old.

I think players can be their own worst enemy — playing through frustration to the point they start hating on the game that’s brought them so much fun in the past. You can say the thing I quoted was exaggeration, but the rest of your post reads very similarly. Every game has things that are annoying. Playing something for 9 years+ can make them even more annoying. That’s why it’s good to take breaks, skip content you don’t enjoy, or move on completely.
