what about hold weapon action to summon a warmind cell. Doing so would place a cell into your hands that can be thrown at enemies to create a large explosion (like pre-nerf Global Reach kind) and aftershock kinetic pulses.
I like the idea of a universal bow buff, but Imo, the only viable application for it would be Leviathan's Breath, and maybe exotic energy bows. The setup is also pretty inconvenient.

The suggestion you made is no better for convenience than what I listed. That also would be extremely weird to balance in PvP since warmind cells were not made for PvP. Also, the reworks I listed were largely for convenience as being able to be mobile with the guidance ring is significantly easier than having to stand still, and if you choose to stand still it’s much more generous

I think the bow has more problems than just "the guidance rings are restrictive". Like "what is the role it's meant to fulfill?", and "what makes it truly special and distinct?". It feels like a knock-off Ticuu's in both single target damage, and crowd control, with the added deficits of a longer draw time and a much worse playstyle. My proposition was just to make it a good ad clear option when single target damage isn't needed, which it really never is with a bow. I think it needs a pretty big change for basically any function of the weapon to be useful. Maybe just having the guidance ring follow the player, and reducing the max range requirement for damage ramp-up by 10-15m would fix the major drawback of the campy playstyle it promotes, but then it still suffers from bad damage and has little ad clear potential.
