Gambit needs a spot in the DCV more than it needs literally anything else.
Put it way way in the back. Next to the Red War campaign.

That's a -blam!- argument and has always been a -blam!- thing to say. A metric -blam!- ton of people play gambit daily so removing a core aspect of the game and giving even less variety to your player base shouldn't be the answer. Why is it you people can't just dislike gambit? No you feel the need to kill it for some reason. Why do you hate it? Is that your own opinion or have you been convinced?

Of course it's my opinion, lmao. And of course I can dislike Gambit. I can also have an opinion of what needs to be done with it. Just to be clear, I don't work at Bungie. My opinion doesn't mean something is going to happen or isn't going to happen. They're not going to vault Gambit because I said I think they should. You need to take SEVERAL chill pills, and evaluate why my opinion, devoid of anything mean or rincenidiary garnered such a visceral reaction from you. Especially over an unsupported game mode that, like many other things around here, hasn't been touched in years. It's [b]incredibly[/b] weird behavior.

On a serious note bring back sparrow racing and horns for your sparrow. If they're planning on letting gambit rot and crucible is getting very close to the gambit treatment then why don't they just bring back a shitty version of SRL so they can really disappoint us.

SRL ended up left behing in D1 due to lack of engagement so wasting time on it again makes no sense. That would be why.

Really? It seemed popular when I played D1 but it might have just been a rotation of the same 50 people I suppose. There also seems to be a pretty large community outcry for it's return but I wouldn't know the actual value it would add other than fun. Maybe bring it back as an event during guardian games. That way new loot and rewards could be added along with another event and engagement would stay high due to limited accessibility.

It's just like fishing in this game. It dropped. People thought it was great. They did it for a month. Realized there was no depth at all, got all the rewards and stopped playing it. That's why it was never iterated on again in D1 or brought to D2. Engagement numbers didn't warrant the dev time spent so they just stuck it in private matches and never touched it again. It wouldn't bother me if it came back. I wouldn't play a second of it, but Im not going to be upset if something comes back other people like. I just don't think it's going to happen and personally would prefer the dev time and money be spent elsewhere. As for "pretty large community outcry" just keep in mind that the vocal portion of this fanbase does not use the forums, reddit, or twitter. The large majority of this game is dead silent. Any community outcry, even if it's all over the forums or Reddit or both, is, at best, a fraction of a fraction of the people that actually play the game. Now that does mean could be a lot of silent people who enjoyed SRL. Definitely a possibility, but there's really no way to know. Until they speak up, Bungie has to go off engagement numbers, which I would say probably don't warrant an SRL 2.0.

Fair enough on SRL, I still fish but I fish in MMOs too because I'm one of the weirdos who like that crap. It's usually just me or maybe one other person who I guess is running behind on his seasonal goals. Lol

Yeah, im definitely not, but fishing is one of those things that falls in the "I don't care at all but if other people really like it, cool" category for me. I'm not going to waste time being upset about it if it's something other people are actually engaging with. I'll be curious to see if they do anything else with it after this season.

Probably. I know quite a few people who will likely melt TF down if the aquarium is removed lol, so I'd be surprised to see that go.

Well there's no beer in the game, but there's plenty of things they can do with content people are actually engaging with. Strike specific loot with skeleton keys was a great system that reinvigorated the strike playlist in D1. AOT raids/armor. New PvP party modes. I mean you can literally just make anything up here. It's all down to wants. I don't expect you to agree or like my ideas more than Gambit, but there's literally endless things you can think of. And on the back end, they could develop a better pvevp activity. Not yet another failed gambit rework, an actual entirely new game mode. Something like Division's Dark Zone could work if tailored to fit Destiny's universe. Big area, lots of yellow/orange bar enemies. Kill them to get X currency (or just motes of whatever). Extract with X amount of motes to get Y tier rewards. More motes/currency, better chests at the end. I mean I came up with that in 5 minutes. I'm sure actual devs could make something people would want to play with more thought put into it and I don't think that's going to be Gambit. TL;DR Gambit's best days are in the rearview and getting further away. We need something new, not another Gambit rework.
