3. if it was active, even in background, you got the reason for your ban.

Edited by Gustav: 7/12/2023 9:51:35 PMNo it wasn't and i think i should only be banned if a process interferes with destiny's traffic/process/gamefiles in a way that gives me an unfair advantage (otherwise it'd be weird if i would be banned for nvidia overlay to give me an overlay in destiny for example, i think thats about the same harm an idle minecraft cheat can do) reality is though i havent touched that cheat in months (alongside other cheats that i dont even have downloaded from other games from like 3 years ago) i only meantioned it because that's the only thing remotely on my pc (on my usb-stick) and i know kernel acs can act up
i think i should only be banned if a process interferes with destiny's traffic/process/gamefiles
And Bungie has stated otherwise.

Edited by Gustav: 7/12/2023 11:03:48 PMWhere does it say that? nonetheless i have reason to believe otherwise, i haven't ran it in the background as i've stated before and i shouldn't be banned for something i didn't do which is game hacking due to a program in the background/if it's located on my thumbdrive which doesn't have the capability to interfere with the game as such

If an application designed to read and modify the memory of other applications at runtime was detected targeting the Destiny 2 game client directly. This is, at minimum, a violation of Bungie's policies against runtime analysis. It is the responsibility of each player to understand what software is running on their device and how it interacts with other applications. The data leading to your ban has been reviewed and validated BY BUNGIE. Your punishment will not be overturned and is not eligible for appeal.
-
By this logic obs is bannable as mentioned, this is misinterperting the guidelines in short mentioning that whatever interferes with the game with malicious intent/capability is bannable
We do not ban players for simply having cheat tools installed, but do ban for running them while playing Destiny 2. We do not differentiate between cheat tools for Destiny 2 and cheat tools for other games because it would be easy to avoid a ban by making a Destiny 2 cheat tool that pretends to be a cheat tool for another game. Make sure you turn all cheat tools off before running Destiny 2 and you won’t have to worry about bans.
(source)
Shoukd prove my point since thats the information provided (in the context of the rest ofcourse)
Regardless of the reason you will not be unbanned. So if you don't believe it was for failing to stop programs from interacting with D2 maliciously you can pick a different reason. https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049199891-Destiny-2-PC-and-Third-Party-Application-Feature-Compatibility

No, as stated i don't know what the actual reason is at all, i know is that im suspicious of obs and nvidia overlay. (since i'm supposed to fill in what i might think the reason is.)
-
Again, what you think/believe is irrelevant.
-
ultimately your opinion is completely irrelevant and out of the picture because you do not have a reference to support it
-
I'm not the one asking why I was banned. You know the reason. You're not fooling anyone.
-
I constantly refer to the guidelines idk what you're on abt
-
Sure you do.... You've been told the likely reason for your ban. Accept it and move on to a new game. Your time playing Destiny is over.
-
So you're telling me that if i have a cheat installed that's a bannable fact while when it's stated in the guidelines it's not bannable?
-
Again, stated in the guidelines
-
Doesn't matter what you think. Bungie makes the rules, not you. If that program was left open while Destiny was running that's all that is needed for them to issue a ban. Submitting an appeal is your only recourse. An overturn of the ban is highly unlikely. Your time playing Destiny is likely over.
