If I remember correctly one of the main reasons for removing primary ammo bricks in the first place was to reduce ground clutter to improve performance.. with special ammo finders, special finisher etc it's still possible to cover the ground in special ammo bricks but by removing the primary bricks it significantly reduces the number of ammo bricks your client has to keep track of.
Also it kinda makes sense from a lore perspective.. your ghost makes the primary ammo for you from the lights power of creation, whereas special and heavy ammo are made of specific materials that your ghost can't just create out of nothing so you have to find those materials yourself.

Lore shouldn't ever impact basic gameplay aspects But true, there was too much ground clutter, which was due to Masterworked weapons popping Orbs of Light every damn second, with that removed I'm sure a couple of small white bricks ain't gonna affect performance too much

And frankly while ground clutter may have been a consideration for removing primary ammo bricks, I personally believe that the game is objectively better without having to worry about them.. you are certainly entitled to your opinion if you disagree but I'd wager the vast majority or the playerbase do not miss them.
