I'm in the same boat! As a solo player (and less than average), I haven't been able to get through this final step in the campaign. I just wish we could re-spawn where we last left off vs. having to start completely over. I even did the cheese approach under the platform but that requires some precision to land on the narrow rails. I get through the initial round before the second phase and just before it starts try to get back up top to grapple above the descending whatever and just fail again and again.

You can cheese the Calus boss fight and it doesn’t require other people to do it. I posted a rundown of it above, but watch a youtube guide on how to cheese Calus. It’s fairly simple but time consuming.

Thanks for the reply. I did try the method you provided but when I get to the point of Calus being down just before the second phase, I can't get back up top to avoid the descending things and try to grapple on top of it. Takes too long to get to that point only to die because I can't move well enough for the second phase.

If you just sit under the stairs, when the second phase starts you'll be teleprted up. You don't have to keep trying to get back out. Just let it teleprt you.
