So if I end up losing my account and everything I’ve worked for I’m just screwed? “Oops sorry can’t help you with something you can’t change but we can”.

Account security is our responsibility at all times. If you got hacked that's because you neglected your account security and possibly your device's security. In the future, I highly recommend you set up as much security as possible and review it on a weekly or monthly bases. Bungie can't assist you with this because they don't have access to any of our platform information, that is handled by your platform. The only way to remove an account is to log into it. If you can't log into it, you will need to contact your platform for support. None of this is Bungie's problem.
