Hello,
first time posting but I'm stuck as to what I can do now.
D2 has basically broken on me, I can't join any friends, when I load into the tower I'm the only one in the instance. Tried loading Iron Banner, only 8 players which took around 10-15 minutes to find.
What happened was I was playing with 2 friends on Iron Banner after the match we went to the tower to speak to Saladin. I went to click the iron engram at the top to claim, and then got black screened to "You have been removed from the game world" Tried joining said friends back, "unable to join target player. Home network is configured with a moderate NAT type"
Since then, I've restarted my router, my PC, re-installed destiny and port-forwarded and I'm still facing the same issue.
Also as a side note, I've loaded up other multiplayer games like CoD and they work completely fine and say I have an open NAT type
Has anyone else encountered this recently? Or know of a fix?

My just started after I swipe from Xbox one to Xbox series S. I see no one in tower and can't do pvp or matchmaking with anyone. my nat type is open. I checked everything and I can't still see no one in tower.

Exact same issue for me and a friend

I'm on Virgin Media cable (UK) & PS5, & same issues., My wife as PS5 & on ADSL (Vodafone, yes sadly 2 lines in the property), & also she as same issue on D2 on her PS5. We have the recommended ports open/forwarded mentioned on bungie's post above in both routers, this makes no difference. This as never been an issue to us till we noticed it Sunday evening (4th June). Constant issues trying to connect to each other or friends(unable to join the target player due to a network issue), or if we do (as others have said) it drops someone not long after. I also see lots of other posts popping up from last few days with same issue that was not there when I checked Sunday evening on this forum, so somethings obviously changed Bungie side. Come on Bungie, lets get this sorted. . .

Edited by OoSMOKIN_ACESoO: 6/6/2023 2:50:19 PMI'm having the same issue and it has persisted since Sunday night. I can join one person, but any more than that and I get the "Unable to Join Target Player' message, then I can't join anyone at all afterwards. I've tried Changing NAT settings and uninstalled and reinstalled the game to no avail. I'm going to let me friend log on to my account from his console this evening and see if he can join the fireteam that way. At least it will help identify if its an issue on Bungies side or my internet.

I've been having the same issue recently, it's beginning to get irritating. Strangely, it's only with a select few of my friends who I play with across the Atlantic which is odd.

I had the same issue last night trying to join some friends. others I could. most i couldnt. mostly empty towers. we were trying to do a raid and keeping everyone connected was impossible. we were randomly getting dropped out with various network related error codes. UK here. Giganet ISP. Basically i had exactly same issues as you. and its still persisting now.
