That was called D2 Vanilla and yall hated it because it exposed how you people don't take cover ever. So they changed it.

But that wasn’t the only problem with vanilla D2’s pvp. We were also forced into double primaries; with shotguns, fusions, and sniper rifles taking the heavy slot along with launchers, swords, and linear fusions. Plus pvp was 4v4 too. I do agree that Destiny wouldn’t be unique without abilities, but I would like to see what it’s like with a gunplay focused mode.

All special jump and class abilities removed as well (None of the Hunter jumps, Warlock floats, Titan liftoff stuff)?

This. You basically got 1 ability of each type per a match and MIGHT get a super as back then supers generally could only be used in the last minute of a match if you lived long enough.
