The fact you feel this way demonstrates how starfire NEEDED a nerf. Any build can output DPS with the right mods and weapons. Starfire was the king, no doubt, but it was too good. Did they nerf it too hard, we’ll have to test it? Might be. But it was way too powerful.
I also have a starfire build, I consider it my cheese build, makes things very easy.

I hear what you're saying, but I just don't agree with your logic. Like I said in the orginal post, I don't have unlimited hours to devote to grinding a new build. I think it's perfectly reasonable to feel disappointed when I spent so much time an energy on something just to have it nerfed to the ground just because it's popular. In raids Warlocks are almost universally mandated to run Well. I really like Strand, but as the only Warlock in my clan/raid team, I'm relegated to running that Welllock class. Starfire at least gave me the ability to throw DPS and have fun. With the new changes sure I can still get 20% on kills, but the damage phase is so short I don't have time to try to find and kill adds. It completely defeats the purpose and the time I spend killing adds just takes away from potential boss damage. It just doesn't make sense.

Edited by rednayeL: 5/12/2023 5:16:49 PMSunbracers. As a warlock, you can do no wrong in any raid with any subclass. You sound like you think raids are some super hard content. It’s all about coordination, once everyone’s on the same page, raids are super duper easy. Just play smart, everything will go well, no need to grind builds. I seen guys trio and duo raids with the worst stats you have ever seen. Builds is all about mods, not stats. Edit: you play more than me and I have builds for every character and every subclass. Just focus engrams for armour at the helm, eventually you get good stuff.

Edited by Dippin Doansy: 5/12/2023 5:18:02 PMNever said they were hard. Depending on the raid, we can almost wipe the boss in 1 phase even though I'm the only person running Starfire. I just said that Starfire makes it more fun for me because I'm contributing to that damage a good deal. Sunbracers are good provided you can get a melee kill and the boss doesn't just move from where you throw the nade. I'm well aware there are other builds I can waste my time chasing. At least until that becomes the go to and then it gets nerfed as well.

You can use anything, it all works, you just prefer easy mode, and that’s ok.
