I heard the 2.5% is in line with Thread of Generation on Strand. Long story short, stop dooming. I am the one of the biggest Starfire users in public matchmaking even in GMs and never take it off really. It will be fine, you just have to get kills on trash mobs and save your nades on tanky bosses. Use demolitionist and you will be fine on kill. Grenade Kickstart, Innervation and Bomber are still good. Relax. The damage is still there btw.

  • So you mean to tell me, 2.5% on hit plus 20% on kill is bad on trash mobs? Stop it. Witherhoard will still be good dude plus whatever else you build against trash mobs. The damage IS THE SAME and hasn't been touched so it will still kill. TF are you smoking?

  • Well for one, I'm not dooming. I'm just talking about how all the time and energy I spent getting this build setup feels like it's gone to waste. I can't use Nova because I have to well for my squad when we do raid. And if you get that then you know that I'm talking about boss DPS, which this nerf kills. If I spend my time on a very limited damage phase killing add it kinda defeats the purpose. Not trying to be snarky.

  • Ok so I understand the fusion grenades have been slowed lowering output I feel you but it was cracked for this long. It was unbalanced in terms of cooldown compared to anything else in the game. I had an attitude as well at first but I had to acknowledge it. You will still do damage just a tad bit slower but there are builds to circumvent the cooldowns.

    The exotic won't be on hit after the nerf of I understood it correctly. Also witherhirde can't stack and everyone uses it.

The change makes it require a kill for the large refund of ability energy and hits will give you a smaller amount. Use mods to build into your grenade a little and your uptime will still be very high. It won’t be the best thing to use against a boss anymore, but that’s kinda the point. The two nades and rift refund are remaining the same.

    The exotic will still be on hit. It's 2.5% energy gains on hit down from 20%. The 20% gain we are used to are transferring to on kill. It's supposed in line with Thread of Generation from Strand I heard.

  • Still seems like a tad too much of a nerf, it being an exotic and all. However that isn't as bad then. I feel instead of 2.5 it should be like 7. Cutting it down to roughly an 8th of the percentage it used to give is a huge nerf. Bungie doesn't know how to do slight tweaks when it comes to nerfs, they only slight twerk in buffs.

    Yep it’s still 3 rockets with demo. (Or 4 with clown demo) Pick up an orb or two and you probably have another. DSC boss just reload when you get booped. Just means less spam on grenades so can go for a double special build instead on a lot of encounters. I wonder if each fusion bullet is 2.5%. And you still have well boosting the whole fireteams dps and healing damage. Someone else can run Lunas as well.
