When Planetary Materials were initially deprecated the devs placed a Material Exchange option with Rahool in the Tower.
Assuming the option still exists almost three months later, you can exchange your Materials for Glimmer. I did a number of laps between Rahool and Hawthorne to stock up on a few hundred Raid Banners at the time.

Yes it’s still there. Occasionally I get Nessus or EDZ materials.
