Legendary shards are the only primary currency, which means it can't be bought from any other. That means you need to treat them as such. If you're getting low, don't burn it all because you ran out of time to get some weapon, so now your last hope is focusing. Resource management, people. You really don't need that weapon so bad that it's worth bankrupting yourself over it.
Also I could have said "too lazy to go get it" instead of "because you ran out of time", see I stopped myself lol
Bungie's problem. We got glimmer...which is our currency. And then we get 4-5 more currency's afterwards. Remember when you could infuse stuff for just glimmer. Now you need to BUY upgrade modules...since they cant drop from anything after bungie removed weekly bounties.... And they cost glimmer and shards and enhancement cores.
-
fun fact a ghost mod can make them drop.
-
True. But there are better ghost mods.
-
Like? Resource finds? Na prism? Na got 250 cores? Na got 2000 xp? Na gm cap you at 1815 master raids 1820 no reason keep it in once you pass 1820, extra rewards only one that's as good you've plenty of energy to slot armor focus and module finder once you're done needing xp. Gms rain prism that you can convert to cores
-
I always do armor focus or glimmer. And xp.
-
Highest effective lvl is 1820 now though, everything lvl caps now
-
Master raid doesnt cap you.
-
You on xbox I'll send a screen shot of it if you like
-
Read the master modifier says it right there just looked again.
-
Yes it does

I'm not specifically talking about what should be done, you're entitled to believe whatever you want on that. I'm just trying to describe how to navigate things as they are. But if you are soliciting what I think should be done... it's okay to think legendary shards, or perhaps no currency, should be a primary currency. But I will also add that glimmer was the cost to infuse when glimmer was more valuable, but glimmer is less valuable than it once was. So it's hard to say whether the economy has laterally shifted, or if it's become inflated. It's not a fine line between these.
-
Glimmer is still valuable. It is needed to change perks on crafted weapons and its needed to buy infusion materials. And it is needed to focus engrams.
-
Yeah I said that. I didn't say it had no value at all.
-
Things bungie should do. Halve all legendary shard costs... Give us ways to get upgrade modules from playing. Put in more memento's behind raids and dungeons... With guarenteed drops from raids and guarenteed drops from hard mode dungeons.
-
I don't really agree with the first thing, but everything else is great
-
The cost to focus at Shaxx or anyone else is ridiculous, especially since the roll is probably still going to be garbage anyway and just get sharded. Stop the fanboi cheerleading.

Edited by Gibbon, the Ape Defector: 4/22/2023 1:56:18 PMSo don't get it that way. That was the point of my statement. Your viewing loot acquisition through the lens of buying and focusing is the reason you're probably bankrupt, or at least upset, that part is certain.
-
OR Bungie could stop making weapon focuses for vendors where the perk pool is so large at such a high cost when you're likely getting a crap rolled weapon anyway. You clearly don't get it.
-
They could, but they won't. They have spoken on how they want you to get gear. So you either do it this way because you enjoy it, or don't do that way or activity, or the game, at all. It doesn't even matter what's justifiable, but if you're wondering, I can't complain, I have what I want; what matters is what is happening. And what's happening is something you have to either figure out how to deal with, or leave behind by choosing a different game.
-
That has nothing to do with paying customers expecting the F(&$# game to work properly and not ruin their cards or kick them out of GM content.
-
Nothing is perfect. You either deal with it or move on. I chose to deal.
-
That’s actually somewhat fair. I’ve missed out on a lot of “good weapons” simply because I didn’t or couldn’t afford the focusing price. Don’t have a Hothead, but I don’t wanna burn the mats to focus from Zavala so I just don’t have one. Same with Trials guns; just not worth it. In the entirety of D2, there have been very few guns that define the meta, that you can’t get at least a toned down equivalent of…. Outside of maybe Immortal…hell it beats out other 750s.
-
It's been nerfed in the midseason patch though I'm pretty sure. Anyway, I think this type of thing you're illustrating is where the upheaval is coming from. Too many people who have bad budgeting came to rely on the glitch even though it was only out for a matter of hours. And so instead of just adjusting their budgeting, they blame Bungie for taking away their means of staying in whatever unfeasible pattern they're in.
-
yep 18k and I've never done the bs glitch.
-
Don't need it, you're the example the haters need to see haha
