As a disclaimer, I'm fully aware that Vex Mythoclast is classified as a Fusion Rifle and therefore takes from Fusion Rifle mods. However, its functionality is the reason for this post. With the latest patch as of 18/04/2023, all primary weapon types received a 20% damage buff (Scouts got 10%) in PvE to catch up with SMGs, since SMGs have been the dominant primaries for a very long time. This, naturally, included Exotic primaries of the same types. However, due to its classification as a Fusion Rifle, Vex Mythoclast was not buffed. The problem with this is that Mythoclast functions identically to a High-Impact 360 rpm Auto Rifle in its primary firing mode (albeit with a slightly higher RoF at 390). I firmly believe this to be an oversight. Its Linear Fusion mode should not be buffed, it's fine where it is. But, it's primary fire SHOULD be buffed by the same 20% due to it, in essence, being an Auto Rifle. By Mythoclast not receiving the same buff, it's automatically been power-crept by actual Exotic Auto Rifles, despite functioning the same way as them with its primary fire. EDIT: Not to mention, despite its Fusion Rifle classification, its Linear mode WAS hit by the 15% LFR damage nerf, and previous general LFR changes such as the aim-assist nerf. This is a crucial example of functionality taking precedence over classification.
Does it benefit from overload rounds from the artifact? No, it does not, because it is not an AR. It’s primary fire mode benefited from particle deceleration many moons ago because “it’s a fusion rifle” and not an AR. Does the Rain of Fire warlock exotic give you the radiant effect on a 360 rpm AR kill? No, it doesn’t. Does it give you the radiant effect on Vex’s primary fire mode kills? Yes, it does. You can continue to debate and insult people all want in this thread, the Vex is a fusion rifle and only benefits from buffs to fusion rifles no mater how similar it’s primary fire mode is to a slow firing AR. No matter how you try to spin it’s functionality, it is not an AR and will not receive buffs/nerfs that effect AR’s.

First off, I haven't insulted anyone. You're welcome to quote some examples if you think that's wrong. Secondly, I already pointed this out in the disclaimer, its classification makes Fusion mods and Exotics affect it. Third, in that case, according to your argument, other special case Exotics that don't work the same as their normal counterparts, like Forerunner, Crimson, Last Word, Revision Zero (two-burst), Graviton Lance, One Thousand Voices, and the list goes on, should also be affected by the same general changes that affect their weapon classification and not receive unique tuning in accordance with their unique functionality, despite the fact that it isn't the case at all. Mythoclast falls into this exact same category of a special-case Exotic. It doesn't work like a Fusion Rifle at all, and nor do general Fusion Rifle changes in patches and updates affect it. Its Linear mode is affected by Linear changes, despite Mythoclast not being a Linear, though. Which makes sense, I wouldn't give Fusion changes to a Linear Fusion. So the same rule should apply to its primary fire which is identical, not similar, IDENTICAL to 360 High-Impact Auto Rifles, especially when Bungie has officially stated in previous patches that Mythoclast is just a modified 360 AR.
