Thanks but it wasn't deleted manually or by anyone else I played the night before and when I logged in the next day my warlock was missing it happened to another player and they got their character back from Bungie due to the character deletion bug.

After investigation there was no deletion bug. Characters can only be deleted manually.

That was confirmed to be a anomaly one-time issue and required multiple teams and multiple hours to fix. Your items unless found to be a similar situation wont be restored.
