Cause you agreed to their terms of service. You are only using a license to play the game. You have zero ownership of destiny. In the ToS it states Bungie can add or remove content as they see fit.

I understand that, but with how much they get paid per DLC and seasonally. Surely they could spare a server or 2 for new players or for nostalgia. Not happy with it as I try to help new players and uts not the same game I played with lacking story. But, bungie is usually flexible and they could always return it. I thought they'd only remove it to fix a bad glitch or something. Not permanently remove the first chunk of a game for an unknown, permanent reason
