The State of Play clearified what we all already knew: Gambit has been abbandoned to itself. We could hypothesize why this happened, but in the end speculations are not answers.

How do you know there was no reason to remove it? Also, as I stated, why bring it back? Unless not as a payed content like Seasons, it would be another F2P addition, so it wouldn't generate money.

It would also bring back people And the more people there are The higher chance that they will buy stuff in game

You take it for a fact that The Reckoning would bring back people, like a sort of most wanted Activity, while instead you have no bases to say so. It's pure speculation. At the moment, Destiny 2 doesn't need The Reckoning as Activity to come back. And Bungie has no reason to bring it back exactly as for Gambit Prime.

I’m sure people would prefer reckoning over gambit Obviously they’ll moan “Oh it’s another 3 person PVE activity” “Reused content” And all of that But I’m sure they would prefer it to gambit

However, as I stated, there's no need to bring back Reckoning, exatly as there's no need neither reason to bring back other more beloved and requested Actvities such as The Menagerie.

To be honest I’d be happy if they brought back a menagerie style loot system - would make red Border farms a lot nicer to make And there is a reason to bring back the reckoning The lore It’s literally in the drifters ship Now it’s doing nothing - apart from sending us to the prophecy dungeon

Sure. Lore wise we know the entrance where the Reckoning takes place it's there, anchored to the Drifter ship. Is this a good or valid reason to bring The Reckoning back as an Activity in Destiny 2 in its current state? No. Destiny 2, right now, form a gameplay point of view, doesn't need The Reckoning. Neither Bungie has any reason to bring it back. With new PvE Activities coming out every Season, we don't need the return of an old one. People would just start complaning asking to bring back also The Menagerie, the Forges, the Sundail, and this and that. It would literally be a shot in the foot for Bungie. At maximum, in a future Season, one of the new Activities could take place where the Reckoning once was. A Season around the Drifter and the Nine.

Oh yeah Definitely should be F2P It’s returning content after all But I think bungie removed it bc it was the source of armour for gambit prime Oh well Just make it have reckoning armour Or give out gambit armour It’s technically gambit after all

I suppose the reason why Gambit Prime Armors are not in the Gambit Loot Pool anymore is simply because now the Core Playlists share the same Armor with a different textures on it. Bungie could surely add the Gambit Prime Armors back in the Gambit Loot Pool if the wanted, as for the Vanguard and Crucible Armors, but clearly they have no intention/interest in doing so.
