Since when has Asher’s voice been in shattered throne? Nvm I remember now, you can hear riven imitating his voice - it’s been a while since I’ve ran that dungeon

  • I bet we’ll see Asher in a future season with his own faction of allied Vex.

I think the only thing the Vex can actually learn to respect is persistence and determination. Captain Jacobson kept going in the face of the Collapse, the loss of his crew and all his passengers and facing his inevitable death on Nessus. The Vex took notice. Saint-14 rampaged through the Infinite Forest for centuries killing enough Vex to end a war and even after being rendered lightless still killed the Martyr Mind. I think the Vex killed him because mathematically he was a liability but the Vex laid him to rest in a crypt/memorial. Very strange behavior for Vex. Saint-14 is practically the embodiment of determination. Asher Mir kept going, knowing he was being converted into a Vex. Even though his persistence wasn't displayed as martial prowess, it was displayed in overcoming fear, an unwaivering pursuit of science and understanding the Vex. By having a Vex arm he was probably connected to the Vex network in some way and by extension the Vex might have seen him as a kindred spirit of sorts and the Vex took notice. I think if Guardians keep being persistent no matter what we face, one of the Vex factions is going to take great interest in us as allies to ensure their own survival.
