Her entire backstory is the trauma she experienced losing her crew. As a result of her trauma, she has been severely impacted, drawing a direct parallel to how people respond to trauma. It is then, played for laughs. She’s a joke character, the damage she’s endured is played comedically. It’s not really diving too far into it, when that’s the entire character. Even at a surface level evaluation. She is sad because of the trauma she’s experienced, ha ha ha, look at her suffering trying to perform basic tasks.

Edited by Coldhands: 2/16/2023 3:24:17 PMIt 100% is. Most of the current major NPCs are moody, irrational soap opera characters. Destiny 2's story is veering hard to in Daytime TV melodrama. We could use some levity (and a big boost in self awareness), and if Failsafe got some more writing, they could probably make her most than just a "joke character".
