We’ve had 2 primary focused pvp seasons. Season of the drifter, and season of the worthy. Both were met with heavy criticism and scorn. Both were considered failures and the worst seasons of their respective expansions. Bungie is unlikely going to consider a pvp focused seasons, considering how every pvp focused one has been a major flop and low points for the game.

Season of the Drifter was focused on gambit prime, not much PVP. Season of the Worthy focused on renewed Trials of Osiris, but the PVE activity was basically a washed up public events which is why people did not like that season. Unless I’m missing something, there really hasn’t been a season for PvP or Shaxx. Bungie never will because it’s free to play and doesn’t generate any revenue.
