The cap on upgrade materials is silly.
For some reason you can vault enhancement cores. You can bust your prisms down to cores and store them. When I was farming alot of nightfalls with double rewards I just master worked class items to scrap later🤷

The cap on materials exists for a reason - to incentivize you to run the content so you can’t just bang it out in a week and be set for life
