Every commenter here has overlooked the main problem: That there are so few sources for Ascendant Alloys, and all but one of them are unreliable or time consuming, some extremely time consuming.

I dropped 4 in 8 runs. Just shows you how if and maybe are bungie excuse for giving to one and screwing the rest. Last season, 6 weeks and no hunter chest to max. Had to get it this season. 4 weeks now on my titan to finish and zip. This is the only game I play where if and maybe replace do this get this. I get tired of wasting my time.
