Saw some people saying it might be an Aphelion , a Awoken monster that attacks and destroys whole Awoken ships. My reasons for thinking this: •We don’t know where or when they come from •They are in Awoken Mythology , which makes them ancient creatures •Mara has been showing more activity this season , and I remember once I saw a cutscene with her (think it was the cutscene for the start of the Parasite quest) , she cut off abruptly , and the weird flowing energy in her face turned a tint darker than usual , meaning she felt Darkness •They have always been a threat to the Awoken , while they are unseen , they can be classified as ancient threats. Still , this is all speculation
