I think I remember something like this happening months ago, let's see if Bungie acknowledges it.

  • I found a post back in 2018 where similar issue occurs and its due to having expired bounties or items in Postmaster. But Bungie did fix it so am not sure if this time it's similar and same method they use back then will works.     I too remember this happening few months back and bunch of people including a bungie help account member getting effected by it. I remember them posting about it asking people with bungie help account and mentioning they having the issue too. I’m having a somewhat similar issue but I can actually log in, just get contacting Destiny server and sometimes weasel, also one baboon, I don’t know if it’s connected to this cause I don’t have another account to test and see if it works fine on that. And it was worse on the day of 29th and got slightly better today. Mine started on the 29th however, after last week’s reset I payed for couple of hours with no issue. Then on the 29th it became super unstable. My location is Malaysia, ISP is time broadband. (SEA region) I’ve done speed test, packet lost test, jitter test, all while playing destiny and off, no issues in any of them. No loss, no jitter or sometimes 1ms, 500mbps up and down speed. Verified game files, restarted internet and pc, deleted cache. All the usual stuff and it didn’t help. However I recently learned that there are some undersea cables faulting in my region that could be the cause, especially since destiny is super sensitive and needs stable connection more than anything. But if they get fixed and my issues doesn’t then I’m not sure where the issue could be. I should add my account is from destiny 2 beta on pc and same characters. Also I own every DLC and pre ordered lightfall.

  • Am aware about those undersea cables issue and i dont think thats the reason. My issue started from weekly reset last week on 24th Jan 2023 with Hotfix 6.3.0.5. My bother is staying far from SEA Region and yet he still cant access my account. But i can login and play his account with no issue on my side. Not even a single 'Destiny 2 Contacting Server' appear.

  • Honestly mine might be similar to your issue as well, just started later and not as severe, I have no clue, hence why i added my voice to this as well. A lot of friends from Singapore had similar issues hat got fixed today mine hasn’t yet, so who knows.

  • The bug is on PlayStation aswell I mainly play on ps because I played since Destiny 1 on console and it’s my main platform but I tried my account on pc and there is the problem too so doesn’t matter which platform I think
