The 9 serve nobody. They have no allegiance. If we did try turn to them, they’d help us as much as they’d help the Witness.

They have a vested interest in helping us. We are the reason they are conscious. The strands of dark matter that make up their bodies need to interact with lifeforms to vibrate and bring them into awareness. That’s why some sided with the Light, to keep us alive while they look for alternatives. But how can they help us? They only have power outside of the material plane for the most part.

Right but as we already know half of them like us and half prefer the dark, it dosent matter if ‘we’ created them they don’t care about that

It does matter because without us they are dumb. And that’s what the Darkness offers, killing us off. So it doesn’t make sense for them to align against us. They don’t have an alternative to us, so it’s like giving yourself a lobotomy. That’s why the one that blocked our defense network from detecting the Cabal in the Red War was somehow punished by the rest. Because it endangered them all. It’s not a preference, it’s a grasp at a chance of power that can potentially free them from dependence. They won’t come up in the story until that alternative arrives.
