Pvp numbers are low. So the only people really playing are the dedicated players. Then throw in SBMM, and you will face teams of random players who play with coordination, if you are a skilled player. Same thing happens in Gambit all the time….even in the Freelance list.

  • Some of that is to be expected. It still feels like as soon as you begin to do well. The game tries to force a loss forcing you either to team with people bellow you or by throwing you against more skilled and coordinated players.

  • Or you’re just experiencing Reversion to the Mean. Winning streaks are hard to maintain in truly competitive environments. It’s why in professional baseball, winning half of your games marks you as a “good” team…and wining about 60% usually marks a championship run. …and why the NFL (American football) hasn’t seen an undefeated season in over 50 years.

  • I've heard that the MM is set to attempt to force a 50:50 win loss rate. This feels to deliberate .

  • If you are evenly matched, you will win about half your matches. It’s getting cause-and-effect reversed. Think of it this way. You got a bag of 100 stones. Fifty are white. Fifty are black. If you reach into the bag and randomly pick out five stones, the vast majority of people will pick three of one color and two of the other. You will get fewer who pick 1-and-4…and a very small number who will pick 5 of a single color. But the more you reach into the bag, the harder it will become to keep picking all stones of a single color. That is you are defying the odds, and the farther you go that more difficult it becomes. It’s why Joe DiMaggio’s record of getting a hit in 56 consecutive games is a MLB record that has stood for over 80 years. Great hitters fail 7 out of every 10 at bats. So beating those odds every single day for two months at the highest level of play? Nahh…. Not in this day and age.

  • No. I suspect that the system in the name of a 50:50 win loss ratio . is attempting to create uneven fights.
