Not me lol. I played the matches to complete the pinnacles, got the repulser brace drop on Burden and got a couple volt shot rolls on the SG. I don’t care about guilding Iron Lord. Maybe I’ll chase the shader next IB. I don’t mind the new mode at all and it’s always fun to pop Titan bubbles with a Nova Bomb. I think people need to gain a better perspective with games. Play, have fun and it’s ok to not have everything that’s available.

Exactly this. However, putting a new shader on the second reset is just cruel. And Bungie says they care about mental health. I don’t know why they did not keep it with the 5 levels and bounties. That worked.

I’m want a Volt Shot version of the AR, but engrams are so slow going because rep and rank ups are so slow going. Luckily I have many volt shot weapons, so I don’t need this one. The feeling of the grind actually felt demotivating to me. Which actually lead to me playing less than I had intended.

You did the smart thing. If it’s enjoyable I’ll grind to get things. I honestly didn’t mind the mode but was instead short on time this week. I want the shader but that will depend on when IB happens again and if I have the time. I was disappointed with the AR so I didn’t try to farm a good roll. Maybe you’ll get it next time.

What made the decision faster for me this time was last season I made it a point to try and grind out the 2 reset triumph for the title. It felt like all I did those two weeks was play IB and I never got a side arm roll I liked and wanted, and the mode felt even less enjoyable. I didn’t like the feeling that I felt like I had to commit all play time to a single mode for a week. So facing the same level of grind, I didn’t even finish all the matches for the pinnacles. I watched Tv and played Vampire Survivors. lol

I had too much work on my plate so it wasn’t going to happen. I’ve learned with D2 that I don’t need to have everything. I really enjoy playing and there’s certain things I want. The new shader is awesome so if I can I’ll put the grind in next IB. If I can’t that’s ok too.

Maybe we’ll get lucky and between now and then Bungie will massively improve XP gains for the next week of IB. lol I think I saw somebody online say it took them about 80 games of IB to get the shader. Somebody else estimated about 20 hours. That feels like an excessive requirement. I can see why some people were throwing matches to end the games in about 3 minutes.
