I don't think it's useful to view classes as "tanks", "healers" or "damage-dealers", because all subclasses have aspects of all three. We aren't playing D&D That being said, Arc Titans are better than the other subclasses. They arguably have the best melee (Knockout / Shoulder Charge), best grenade (Storm), best super (Thundercrash), and best class ability (Barricade). It's pretty obvious that Arc Titans are overpowered when you look at how often they're used compared to the other subclasses

Things were built with an apparent approach to design philosophy. Something has changed. The team. The desire for a rock, paper, scissors counter balance. Taking a tame passive game and reserving all the extra power to exotics. You shouldn't even need to see usage. Any play testing would have showed you how infinite shoulder charge in and out of lanes with the highest survivability in the game would make them OP before the tracking storm nades and citans in a long range meta

  • "Highest survivability"? Because they're encouraged to run max Resiliance? In case you haven't noticed, Recovery offers the highest survivability of any stat. Rifts offer more "Survivability" than Barricades. (In PVE, Resiliance might be the meta, but we are discussing PVP) Resisliance adds at most an additional 14 HP to a guardian's health pool. Most players run around 5 resiliance regardless of their build, so the difference is even less. The added flinch reduction is minimal. Arc Titans are broken, because of their strong abilities. They aren't "tanks" who are encroaching on another class identity. The only reason max resiliance is annoying is because of Barricade spam

Healing for melee kill.... When it arcs lightning with increased lunge. Yes, the resilience that others sacrifice more to spec into. As a titan and warlock don't want max mobi to achieve their quickest speed. All of this before the exotics that provide things of that nature as well. They can knock enemies up into the air leaving them subject to AE. They can kill a team with a single melee or spamming melee. Or get extra melee damage for being hit. They have the option to add a dodge. They have the ability to continually use their melee as movement tech every 2 seconds. Shoulder charging into and out of lanes faster than anything. Perhaps even top tree dawn. All of that. Before a Citans wall, all of that adds to their survivability. Before anteus. Before one eyed. Being able to get to the lane and set up faster than anything else. Escape faster than anything other than a Titan can give chase when you start to lose the gun fight. The speed on Arc is one thing. Void has a similar issue. The melee charge should be expended on use.
