You can't fix team balancing when stacks can go against solo players. No lobby balancing system can exist in a connection based matchmaking that lobby balances afterward, because stacks can't be lobby balanced, so it skips the entire process if you're in a stack of 6. The issue with that is mercy rules, which were so prevalent that a change needed to be made. Bungie posted the stats in a twab last season to prove it. The issue is that it's a dead game mode nobody really wants to play. 95% of all players aren't active anymore and that's left massive gaps in experience that can't be filled with any matchmaking style. SBMM at least lets lower skill players explore the game for longer than 90 minutes without being clowned on by entitled brats and chased off of the game so that, someday, maybe the game mode won't be dead anymore. Gotta grow it from the ground up, not the sky down. Deal with it.

  • I'm a near strictly solo player and 95% of the time so is everyone else in the lobby, perfect environment for team balancing. That 5% of the time is a duo

  • Yeah, and some people get the new raid or dungeon exotic on the first try. Does that invalidate the opinion of the many, many people who have to do the raids 50+ times to get it?

  • Yea bc being good at the game makes u an entitled brat. Yea that makes u entitled and definitely not expecting to have easier matches without actually trying to get better at the game. Read that again.

Read that again.
I wouldn't have to read it again if your point were actually good. Also, 2015 called and wants its social justice warrior catch phrases back. Gatekeeping loot will never not be a terrible idea. It's a con to convince people who don't want to play the game mode to play the game mode, not have fun, and quit. The last thing this game needs is more people quitting. Going flawless is a meaningless achievement in a non SBMM environment with no ranking system. In a competitive game mode, the reward is being able to tell people you're good. Carrying around crafted weapons 95% of players can't get because they don't sweat trials (or pay for it, like 95% of flawless accounts probably do) to ego people is a d*ck move, and a toxic premise. Red borders in Trials is a poison idea.

  • Everyone has the same access to crafted weapons. Adept weapons aren't that game changing seeing as you can get a regular version with the exact same rolls.

  • Bro what are you talking about? I'm not talking about trials I'm not talking about gatekeeping loot. I'm talking about sbmm in quickplay if that wasn't obvious. if u don't have the time or energy to get better at the game thats on u and that's FINE. But u don't see pvp players going into grandmaster NF's and complaining about the difficulty and forcing the whole mode to change in turn bringing down the overall enjoyment for anyone who actually cared enough to invest their time in that game mode.

PvP is competitive, and if loot winds up being only for winners, that means players actively preventing each other from getting loot. GMs don't change in terms of difficulty. Every one you load into is the same. Trials is literally random. There are people who go flawless every week facing teams of people who have never been flawless and suck at the game, and people perfectly capable of going flawless get stuck facing some team of d*cks -blam!- their cards after 6 wins. So they aren't comparable activities. Trials sweats aren't going anywhere, so there's no need to add more to their loot pool. They want Bungie to get less skilled players into the game mode so they can get farmed. If anything, THOSE people deserve the red borders for having to play with D2's most toxic part of the community.

Yeah my mistake, your response sounded like something another d*ckwad said to me in a thread about trials. SBMM in quick play is a good idea. Entitled brats stomping brand new players hard enough to drive them out of the game is one of the many reasons this game is dying. That trash needs to be sat in their own corner for a while.

Nah, sbmm is a cancer that must be removed asap I like how you talk about cb chasing people off the game when sbmm has directly been responsible for over 300,000 daily login players abandoning the game since its latest iteration the same way it did all 3 times previously

  • They allready put a system in place where stacks pretty much only vs stacks and solo go solos. A team of 3 or 4 will face another team of 3 or 4. So that issue is fixed allready. However their lobby balancing has been an issue since D1 and no matter weather we have cbmm or sbmm the lobby balancing makes solo queuing as a good player extremelly frustating.

  • I did something like 10-15 scorched matches the other night and I was against at least a 3 stack about half the time. So no, they haven't really fixed it lol.
