Ever considered it is just your taste?
I had a lot of people find that exact same writing funny and fitting for the characters.
Maybe the lore just ins't for you anymore?
If you want dead serious stuff, go join the Warhammer community. You will be much more happy there.

This isn't a matter of opinion, it's a matter of characterization and Osiris behavior was inconsistent with his established personality and temperament. Season of the Haunted and Splicer had dead serious writing and I think I'm just gonna stick around give feedback so the storytelling can go back to how good it was prior to the 2 recent seasons and hope for the best.

You never met really old people, have you? The way how Osiris reacted to that "cute" from Clovis is a very common and realistic behavior for old people in my country. Old people don't like to be questioned. Nor do they like to be made fun of.

...Give it a rest. Osiris isn't the conventional "old person" and not ALL old people are like that. Many are patient and wise mentors that meet scrutiny and questioning with calculated responses. Oh and whaddaya know Osiris is a mentor, scholar, scientist, etc. and taught Ikora Rey who was the most hot headed Warlock at the time. Anyone who knows these characters will tell you same.

He was possessed by Savathun and had an eternal nightmare we probably can't even fathom. He has seen fractions of the Darkness/Witness plan in his coma and is annoyed at how little some of the guardians care for his warnings, just like back in the end of the dark age when people didn't want to listen about him regarding the Vex and he was exiled from the Tower by a Speaker. You can't pretend like that's nothing. Such experiences change people. And the way how Osiris behaves in the game story now is only logical, considering the events he went through in his entire life.
