CANCEL THE LIGHTFALL PREORDERS!!!

Bungie is a ship, and the money they get from us buying expansions is what keeps it moving. The ship is a complete disaster that is somehow still afloat, and Bungie will not see it. Only when their ship starts sinking and they need to swim will they realize that they need to fix the ship. I know Lightfall looks great. But there's no guarantee that it will be better than these stale seasons. I know this has been said before, but maybe it needs to be said louder. Stop paying them. Make them swim.

 • I am seriously considering cancelling mine. There are a bunch of things Bungie has done over the last year-or-so I am not at all happy with: - Increasing grind instead of decreasing it. Some examples are: The Power cap, requiring five patterns to unlock sub-par weapons, requiring tonnes of materials to focus sub-par weapons (e.g. Gambit and Iron Banner, which between them have like three good weapons this season), requiring a million Lost Sector completions to have a small chance at getting the Exotic you want with a decent stat distribution, nevermind a good one, etc. - Removal of old content that was hype and addition of new content/recycled content that isn't. This includes removal of things like surprise missions (e.g. Zero Hour) and old Raids (e.g. Leviathan), content that its customers bought and paid for but are now no longer able to access. Bungie have limited what we can play in/how we can play the game, a recurring theme, as you will see below. - Nerfing of Protective Light in favour of Well Mods. This was designed to make build-crafting an interesting component of the game but to me, it's just annoying that I have to spend ten to fifteen minutes before a GM to switch out mods and that I am forced to use weapons I don't want to use, just because they match the subclass I am using for that GM. I say this as a five-time guilded Conqueror who used to love GMs. - Airborne Effectiveness nerf coupled with the previous Sliding nerf means you're glued to the ground in PvP while cheesy Guardians with cheesy loadouts spam cheesy abilities and cheesy weapons at you. I also happen to believe this is the main reason we are not seeing Warlocks in Trials of Osiris atm, not the 3.0 changes to the kits themselves. - The reckless abandon with which Bungie has abandoned PvP. That Crucible TWAB had me shook. It is a perfect example of the disconnect between the developers and the players. No mention of further anti-cheat upgrades (cheaters are slowly become more and more numerous again), no dedicated servers (even now with Sony's resources), no permanent Freelance for Trials (instead some wishy-washy matchmaking solution when the hardcore PvPers are already complaining about SBMM), no meaningful reward from the revamped Competitive playlist and only one new map to be released in 2023. Really?! - PvP Sandbox issues. For starters, there is way too much ability spam and the Airborne Effectiveness + Sliding nerfs means we're sitting ducks at the mercy of this ability spam. Then there's the fact that it takes Bungie forever to implement changes that are urgently required, like the nerf to LFRs, Omnis (which took them five months, only for them to release Gyrfalcon immediately after) and Invis (which I have been saying is a problem since Season of the Lost and only recently did Bungie acknowledge it). The one saving grace Bungie had was that the storytelling and writing was on point but after that disastrous community event, followed up by that cutscene with Nezarec being turned into Nezcafé and having that espresso cure Osiris's depresso, I am beginning to doubt whether that will continue to be the case anymore going into the future.
