Lol Bungie already showed the data why he's wrong 🤣🤣
He's outright lying about several of his "points".
Pop numbers yesterday across all platforms was over 550k not the 60 he mentions. That's just Steam.
PVP alone was 190.
This is from Charlemagne.
I'm not saying those are great numbers but he's lying.
He's also lying about sbmm coming toall playlists.
The 6v6 rotators will all be cbmm.
He's also hypocritical about sbmm in the tanked mode.
Almost all the anti sbmm people would say "sbmm belongs in a ranked mode not casual".
So Bungie puts the more strict sbmm in a ranked mode and they still cry.
People need to stop listening to the content creators that lie and exaggerate for their own agenda.

I agree with this entire point you made.

It's really just common sense and knowing the reality of what these people do to market themselves. Everything they do is self serving. There may be a small handful that give helpful or less than selfish commentary. They know what words to use and what data to misrepresent to get people to say " hmm you may be right" but most of the time it's lies or simply exaggerated. The good thing is it looks like Bungie is not putting the weight on these people's agendas like they used to. They realize that these content creators are targeting the wrong audience and their ideas for the game don't target the average player who accounts for the larger population. Lol sorry....didn't think I would type that much.

No I feel ya man I totally agree! I started YouTube for fun this year and I have a full time job and I enjoy making positive and fun stuff for people to view! It’s crazy to me that the only reason they get to do that for a living is hating on the very game that made them known in the first place!
-
Look at the world lol. Hate can gather just as many views and followed than love. It doesn't help that the "Keyboard Warrior" mentality has only gotten worse with the newer generations. People think that their online presence means there less, or no, accountability for what the say or do.
-
Absolutely, sad but true man
-
Your thoughts on the changes coming to PvP next season?
-
I think what their doing has the pore to be good for population retention. While still making places for both MM strategies. I think the ideas on the ranked mode are better than say what Apex does in terms of the progression/regression. We'll see how the stricter sbmm goes. I don't think they've talked about how ranked placement will play I to things. As with anything they try Time will tell and they have some work to do to make pvp end game both rewarding for high level players as well as enticing for mid level.

Very well said.
-
Appreciate you being opened minded about it.
-
Indeed!

Example of not that is one of the conversations below 🤦🏻♂️

You contradicted yourself btw. You said 550 PvP yesterday, then 190 PvP yesterday lol. Charlemagne is the only reliable numbers. Use warmind.io/activity for real time % of platform, modes etc and Charlemagne for daily numbers. Anything else is wrong
-
Show me where I said pvp? I'll wait. In fact I didn't use any words like that at all. I simply said "across all platforms". I inferred total pop not just pvp. Why is reading comprehension so hard? Instead of asking for clarification you out works in my mouth to fit your narrative

I could. I shouldn't have to adjust for the weak links though. People should add words to my statements.

You're so wrong man. PvP numbers 500k, don't use destiny tracker, it includes gambit & D1 PvP amongst other things. His 60k was concurrent not daily. Google concurrent. Today pc numbers where 22k, just 1700 in crucible. Double that to include console as pc was 50% at the time
-
Edited by X-LoganX: 11/29/2022 5:30:09 PMDid you read my post? I use Charlemagne. And...I didn't say pvp was at 500, I said over all number. Please read. Pop numbers for Nov 27/28 (the last full day AND the Mondat day he talks about) All platforms Overall: 551k PVP: 190k Gambit: 67k Steam Overall: 156k Pvp: 48k Epic Overall: 7.7k Pvp: 1.6k NOONE uses concurrent because it doesn't show the full picture and paints a false narrative on population. He's a liar and a hypocrite
-
Concurrent is very important, and he's comparing concurrent to concurrent so it's fine, still shows a picture. Concurrently the whole game is struggling to mm, especially outside the us. Just 1700 where playing PvP today, worldwide, full game, midday in Europe When you see 500k daily, it means nothing if those people aren't on when you're on. Playtime is more important nthsn who's logging on that day, a tonne of people just do gunsmith bounties, or hop on for 10 mins.
-
Your words aren't necessarily wrong, but he knows that people will focus on the numbers stated and not the context. It still paints a narrative that is hard to swallow. We're at the tail end of a very long season. Most people are done with what they wanted to do as most seasons go. This "game is dead" thing happens every time and is usually proven wrong time and again. Add to that they've shown the data that sbmm did exactly what they hoped it would. Keep more people engaged in pvp. Control had the highest pop and player retention over all other weekly modes. Second only to IB. The key thing is more people. This people are the mid tier and lower who were struggling with cbmm. So those people were engaged beyond the bounty and out. Isn't that what we should want?
-
Sorry, you said pop not PvP, my bad, I'm in a dark room on a tablet.
-
Thank you for re-reading that. Sorry if I was harsh in the other reply. It's a pet peeve
