For years warlock has been the number one PvE choice and dawnblade has been consistently at the top of usage for high skill players (basically top 3 for years). I don’t care whatever class gets nerfed or buffed or what Bungie decides but objectively, in terms of power, warlocks are fine generally.

Numbers don’t lie and they never have stop propping up bs with bs. The class would at least be competitive in metrics people just don’t ignore power in video games. They just reworked them and still they go unused I wonder why??

Because many reasons other than power. You’re assuming people choose a guardian based on what’s meta (if they did, warlocks would have massive usage as Well warlock is the most request PvE class in end game stuff). If you’re using usage as your only metric then you don’t have much of an argument. I hope you were in favour of the Divinity nerf and don’t complain when Ophidians are nerfed. Plus never ask for a nerf to linear fusions as they aren’t number one in usage. I can get onboard with warlocks losing identity but they are certainly not underpowered.

That’s stupid people use what works that’s it. If it’s makes whatever activity easier they do it. Take pre 3.0 solar lock objectively powerful to the point where the numbers reflect it pvp and pve. Now not even close what happened? Power was lost. People who don’t or hadn’t played warlock tried one because it worked now no reason to because whatever power the community perceived is gone. I’ve mained warlock until mid last season said goodbye to that. I realized this season warlock is just a slower weaker titan. I can cast more abilities as a titan and out dps a warlock before they finish casting their rift. It’s a night and day experience and I honestly think the numbers reflect it.

Probably more than 50% of players in those usage numbers don’t even know what’s viable or not. Most of the player base isn’t in this little bubble of meta and ridiculous subclass ranking. Stop being so narrow minded, step back and look at the bigger picture.
