Destiny has a huge dose of spaghetti code. Things you wouldn't even imagine affecting other things do. Like how using a specific finisher used to let you walk through walls.
Bungie's management is pretty set on the "if it doesn't affect the money, then don't bother" mentality. Which is fine for a business. But it still sucks.
Here's a list:
1. Does it make money?
2. Will it cause us to lose money?
3. Can we fix it with minimal labor?
If your problem answers yes to any of these questions. It will get fixed. If not, it never will.
Annoying blues doesn't cause people to leave destiny.
Not being able to change your face doesn't cause people to leave destiny.
Having annoying caps on resources doesn't cause people to leave destiny.
This is why these things don't change. Even though they would be positive changes to the game it makes no difference when it comes to profits. So why do it?
Any type of small QOL changes you see come from passionate devs who managed to squeeze in a positive change while working overtime on a project they love.
