That's what folks would call spam. Not recommended, and rightfully ignored. One post with 500 upvotes would be better than 100 posts with the same folks "circle-voting" each other. Leading to an easy justification of dismissal. We've been down this narrow road before. Let us not do it again. Recall the "Remove Eververse" road...that led nowhere. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But isn't Spam when one guy wants something, so he makes 500 posts? Billy: Gimme what I want Gimme what I want Gimme what I want I'm gonna keep making posts until you gimme what I want... What I'd like to see is 500 people express their individual opinion at once. Bob: I want this Sarah: I also want this Timmy: Me too Fred: I would like this as well Nancy: Same Karen: LET ME TALK TO THE MANAGER! Betty: I want that too Sparticus: I as well, want this Rob:......etc. Wouldn't there be a difference when Bungie sees 500 posts by one guy(this guy's being disruptive, SPAM) and 500 individuals asking for the same thing(this is something a lot of our customers wanteveryone giving the same feedback)? Is that the same thing? Maybe I don't understand spam. Whenever I post something and get replies, I think, that's great n all, but why tell me? I can't change this, write to Bungie, give Bugnie your feed back. Tell Bungie what you just told me. I appreciate it and all but it's preaching to the choir, aint it?

Betty: I want that too Sparticus: I as well, want this Rob:......etc.
They can. Just do it in the thread that is already there, if one is made sharing your opinion on whatever that matter is. Feedback also needs to be concise and easy to access, IMO. What if there's 100 really good, constructive posts, while the rest are just empty frustration across 50 individual threads? What if they all have the same individuals responding? At that point, taking the feedback from an individual basis, the multiple posts become meaningless because the individual already said their piece. This is where it's more efficient (and ideal) to have a "mega thread" where everyone is saying it together. My impression is that you're suggesting the same concept, but with a different execution, thinking it may or may not get a different result. It's subjective to opinion. But I don't think that ever works.
Wouldn't there be a difference when Bungie sees 500 posts by one guy(this guy's being disruptive, SPAM) and 500 individuals asking for the same thing (this is something a lot of our customers want everyone giving the same feedback)? Is that the same thing? Maybe I don't understand spam.
The first scenario would give me the impression of blatant disruption via consistent posting, which is a form of spam. Depending who you ask. The other can be argued either which way. But the key point that separates it is intention. Since 500 individuals can post the same thread (not a comment inside a thread) and make it seem like it's widely important. (Since that many folks are talking about it as is). However, to be efficient, I think a "mega-thread" with lots of upvotes and comments will at the very least be looked at moreso. Maybe replied to, provided the thread is not full of personal attacks, since that isn't feedback in any sense. Lot of folks seem to hide behind that when being questioned on their threads. But, I think It's also more efficient compared to the alternative (having all the feedback in one spot) which would be filtering through everything and trying to decipher which of the comments (say, among 500 individual threads) are constructive, which are duplicates, and keeping track of how many times it was said as a whole (through a thread and comments) versus how many times the same person is repeating it in those threads. But this is my own firm stance on what makes feedback effective. I'm just basing it on my work. I look over feedback on online courses. My workplace makes them and I upload them and monitor them. So there are some aspects I need to consider, especially if I'm trying to gather the feedback and submit it in a report of sorts to management. This forum is just a hot mess on some days more than others lol.
Whenever I post something and get replies, I think, that's great n all, but why tell me? Everyone is different. Some folks could chime in and go: "Well, that's their job. They get paid to look through the feedback." That's fine and all. But those workers can also change how they view the feedback (adjusting the nature of their job, and processes to make it "easier/efficient" for them, regardless if it gets backlash from consumers.) This, to me, could include diverting to other places for feedback if the initial concept of getting constructive feedback seems to have "failed" in some way lol. Go figure, it sounds like here. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • I see what you're saying. But, does that make this post spam as well. O.P. Is not saying anything that hasn't been said before. Once the first post goes up on a subject, anyone who feels the same and creates their own post is spamming. I'm not trying to argue I'm only trying to understand your side and explain my side. Maybe I'll change my mind. I spent a lot of time and thought writing up a thorough post fully explaining the problems blues cause to the player, how auto dismantle would be useful without diminishing the reasons Bungie gives us blues in the first place, and offering a solution that would be mutually beneficial to both Bungie and the players. I thought it was pretty good and made some points that Bungie could consider beyond 'Give us auto dismantle blues!' That post could have been useful in convincing Bungie what an ADB feature could look like, how it would and wouldn't affect the game... But nobody bothered to take the time to read it. It got zero upvotes and the only comments were, 'Daaaaaam that's alot of words' 'What are you an egghead, everybody, let's laugh at Einstein over here' etc. Etc. That post will never be read by Bungie because it got buried because no one has the attention span to read it. I'm sure a lot of people agreed with the content of my post, but no one bothered to read, understand, and upvote it to the point it would get Bungie's attention. I say people would agree because I tried a different approach that was successful in getting upvotes and comments. I created a post that was simply titled "Blues, Auto Dismantle" and the body said "please". That got around 325 upvotes. Now. that post might of gotten enough upvotes to get the attention of Bungie, but... It lacked any thought, reason, examples of the plus/minus etc. Maybe Bungie read that but it was vacant of any thought and dismissed. I'm trying to get people, as many people who feel the same way as I do, write to Bungie with their own views on the subject. I don't know, maybe I'm a dreamer. Have a good day
