Character migration
Owned destiny on 360 back in 2016 and had significant progress on my character can I somehow recover that character to migrate to destiny 2 on the xbox1

[quote]had significant progress on my character [/quote] No in-game progress transferred from D1->D2 The only things that did transfer were veteran status, your characters class + looks, and if you did some moments of triumph stuff you got D2 specific emblems for that. The transfer happened automatically once in august 2017 and was finished at the same time, nothing can be moved over at this point.

No, you had to do that before Destiny 2 was released in 2017. The deadline has long passed. Don't worry, you missed nothing important as only our character models were migrated. No gear from Destiny 1 made it into Destiny 2. If you really want your Destiny 1 character in Destiny 2, you can create a new character and design it just like your Destiny 1 character. -
that service is over a long time ago. besides, all that moved was the characters appearance. no items such as weapons or armor were transferred.
