News flash IF you want to chase ruffians, create an lfg, list you are after the ruffians and get 2 other team mates and grind out several at a time. Why people think MM needs to be something to fit exactly what they are after is beyond me. This is just another example of why MM in higher tier end game activities should never be considered.

  • Dude, everyone knows about lfg. You're in the feedback forum. Giving feedback about a dysfunctional game mechanic is the whole point.

  • You say its disfunctional, yet it works just fine. If you use MM it simply puts you with other players wanting to play the game mode, not with others who may have an objective to complete such as weapon kills, ability kills, specific triumphs or in this case challenges. If people choose not to engage in the fireteam chat and simply play solo with a few others tagging along, you are really creating your own issues. People want raids to be MM but, what happens if someone wants all warlocks, or all void, or to complete a weekly challenge etc.. these are all part of the game and while I hope to god we never get MM in raids and end game, this ruffian challenge is no different. Its a specific goal within the game mode. LFG, or fight your way to your own success. You are simply choosing to make it more difficult on yourself and worse, blaming bungie for your inability or lack of interest to put more effort in to create your own success.

Alright, back to this. Honestly and sincerely with no ill will, most of what you're saying here is unrelated. The only one who said anything about anyone expecting anything from matchmaking in this scenario is you. Granted, there may be other threads somewhere that I haven't read that ask for that, but if so, your feedback belongs there. I'm not touching on that. That said, a couple of points. There is a big difference between "blaming bungie" for an "inability or lack of interest," etc. on my part... and leaving feedback *in a feedback forum* about my experience with a mechanic, and how it has gone *in my observation.* Can I just get a group together and do it that way? Of course. Can I just play as intended and wait for the numbers over time? Obviously. That. Is. Not. The. Point. The point is that I don't believe that an aspect of an activity (for something so ultimately unimportant as a triumph) that creates toxic behaviors in so many people should be left alone. Sure, it's technically working as designed, and I'm not assuming anything about Bungie's goals/intentions with that at all, but that doesn't mean considering a change to diminish the impact of toxic gameplay (that clearly many people are experiencing) isn't worthwhile. Probably won't happen, but this is why feedback forums exist, and getting all finger-pointy at people who bring things up here seems really counterproductive. And it really does sound like you're just pointing the "you this/that" finger here instead of thinking objectively. Edited for typos

  • I'm sorry I don't have time to address everything you mentioned here (like, what does matchmaking have to do with this?), but I'll at least say this. There is a difference between something working "as intended" and working well.
