Weapon Crafting is Terrible but There is a Solution

When Bungie first introduced weapon crafting in their witch queen reveal stream, I personally, was hyped beyond belief that I'd finally be able to gather "parts", level up my weapons, and eventually turn it into my ad killing machine. Well, once Witch Queen released we all know how it went. It wasn't bad on launch but I guess I had better expectations but hey I didn't mind it in the game at the time. Recently, I've started noticing that I literally delete every weapon I get because I know that I'd eventually get a crafted version of the weapon with the roles I want. The only weapons I don't delete immediately are the adept weapons (but the crafted weapons with enhanced perks are still superior when comparing it to an adept). Its removing all the grind from the game and is just converting the game into a chore. It was supposed to be protection for people with terrible RNG but honestly, there are many better solutions that they could've went with. Well, since crafting is already here, I think there is a way that we can fix the system to return to how it was prior to weapon crafting and even better. So, listen up. Every drop of any weapon you get in the game will starts with LVL 1, you use the weapon more, the more it levels up, just like the system we currently have in place now. However, you cannot craft the weapon nor change its perks (basically you have to get a weapon and its perks are fixed in place), simply just convert it from normal perks to enhanced perks (you just need to reach the level requirements then you pay the required materials in order to get the enhanced versions of its perks). This firstly, returns the excitement of a player getting a random drop and solves the problem of players instantly deleting their drops, knowing that they'd get their crafted weapon later. Secondly, this should free the players from the work-like grind where we are supposed to get 100+ drops in hopes of having some of them with a red border on it. *Also, you end up removing resonance elements and resonant alloy which would free up some of the information Bungie has to keep track of in their servers. Well, this is basically my take on this problem with the shortest amount of work and effort from Bungie in order for them to save their resources. Well, ig let me know what you guys think about this and if there is something I'll make an edit and add it here. Thanks for taking some of your time to read this :D
