There is no logical reason exotics need 3 Ascendant Shards to max energy out.
I could understand if the Stat bonus was a +5 in each stat but no. Just sht game design 🥱

10 Replieslmfao. logic and game design go hand in hand. It actually is logical to have the cost more than legendary armour. You might not like it, you might not be good enough to amass piles of the golfballs, you may not have the time to farm them, you may abhor the cost with the upgrade but, logics.. yeah it fits with a logical process. Especially Bungies where everything costs you something and likely that something is significant investment in time, materials and grind..
