Those people don't represent the entire hardcore payerbase thankfully. I'm a hardcore Destiny player and I find the cap pointless and the 3 cost for exotics equally pointless. Exotics help enhance a build via their built in perks, nothing else. So the cost to masterwork being higher makes no sense. If you were improving or unlocking the effects they hold, it might make sense. As for those who may point out that Bungie have the cap in place to establish their value, might I point you to the fact that the majority of players either hate the pointless cap or love talking about how its super easy (barely an inconvenience) to just go farm more? So if its that easy, their value drops so... pointless cap is pointless.

Master is enough for them Especially in 2x drop weeks But the 1 thing people's seem to forget is that material trading is a thing ? With how easy cores are to get you should have plenty to convert ,and glimmer isn't really an issue since the same NPC trade material for glimmer

with numerous ways to get these, you don't have to run GMs, you can reset all the vendors which is what 4 atleast a season, plus running even master NF has a chance at dropping them, plus the season pass and so many other far more casual, skill no required methods. Its more about grind, time and investment. If one doesn't have that, then logically they won't be ablte to upgrade and likely have no need to upgrade with the amount they actually play. They want something that has no bearing on the outcome of the way they play.
