What makes me laugh is that there are so many people saying it's not a problem because they're "easy" to get. They neglect to realize that if it's so easy to acquire then it's existence is pointless. In their zeal to be elitist, they've defeated the one angle elitists love to leverage -- that they have something you don't. If it's so simple to acquire, who cares if it costs 1, 3, 3 million, or even 0?
The entire masterworking system is a joke and seems only kept around to enforce another artificial hamster wheel grind and give Apex Armorer (a seasonal challenge that shouldn't exist to begin with) a reason to force materials out of completionists.
EDIT: Seems only one person in my replies can actually read. Not surprised.

Its the drug addict saying he doesnt have a problem. Plus most these people base thier life off what they perceive as success from this game. I mean look at streamers...aztecross, kackis..etc. they quit thier jobs to play a video game. Never thought oh i have a family to raise and need benfits and security. Gonna laugh when this game crashes...oh thanks for applying at McDonald's but we need to pass on your application seeing your last exp was playing video games. Like the onlyfans girls...yeah living large now but how long before the next up and coming knocks you out??

Thing is tho they could easily go an do a different job that requires video editing being a presenter a announcer at comic con stuff like that with the experience of keeping an audience entertained a news presenter etc

They aren't that easy to get unless U play a wide variety of gamemodes frequently. I masterworked all if my armour except for my helmet so I can get that 98 recovery (🥲) . I didn't masterwork for the extra mod sockets that I never use.

Thing is ....if you struggle to get these materials there isn't really a reason you need to masterwork every armor piece The stats boost and 1 additional energy won't do much in a hero NF

I will say this, the grind to GM does not equal difficulty, just an annoying time grind. Ascendant shards are in fact worthless if they're easy to get, and they are. So why the cap? Why the 3 cost for exotics? They clearly hold little value.

Are weapons worthless? The argumentation holds little value. Every material has a purpose. Players dismiss and belittle certain ones when they don't like it. They convince themselves said things are worthless and come up with paper thin arguments why they are useless. Exotics cost more because [b][u]they are exotic[/u][/b]. Are they "easy" to get? Easy is subjective. It's easier for hardcore Harry and his group since they min max their characters and work efficiently. Tommy no thumbs? He will think it's hard.

People love throwing that word "elitist" around. If they could only be gotten from GM content then you'd be able to complain. You can buy them in the tower and exchange lower currency for it too. Playing the game regularly will give you the ability to have all the shards you want with no effort
