Well this has been asked for nonstop since Destiny 1 having to do the Vanilla campaign on all three characters.
I doubt if it's been trending countless times since 2014, Bungie will finally listen.

I'd argue that's actually content, compared to the seasonal story missions. You get stronger, learn new abilities, find new loot etc. by running through the campaign with different characters. You simply watch cutscenes and grind more objectives with seasonal story missions, and rewards are once per character. There is literally no reason to play through seasonal content on other characters. You get no rewards.
