Same problem, played a lot yesterday and now suddenly it doesn't work any more. Did a ton of troubleshooting, including the usual culprits like verifying and graphics drivers.
I did do something new by participating in the Vow of the Disciple raid and when I left my fireteam, it immediately forced me into a cutscene about Rhulk, which was notable. Normally it only does this when I start the game.
