Rahool sells glimmer in bundles of 10k in exchange for legendary shards or materials, both of which are easily gathered. Even new players have full, easy access to destination materials in the form of public event rewards, patrol caches, etc, and the free pass also offers glimmer, materials, etc.
I'm sorry but if you think the 3.0 stuff costs too much when the price is just GLIMMER, you're really, really bad at this game.

Yes but not everyone will play as long to get a decent bit of legendary shards to spend on a currency as opposed to actually upgrading your gear. They need to do one of a couple things, increase glimmer cap, make shards easier to obtain for the newer players, or just add a decent bit of currency to the Gift of Thunder to jumpstart.

These ideas have nothing to do with new players. Yer mask slipped.

No, I’m helping my girlfriend enter the game and these are the struggles. You could’ve actually produced any amount of feedback such as: add them as rewards in the new light quest. Wow, thoughtful. But the gift of thunder was designed for new players and a legendary shard addition would not be detrimental to new lights in the slightest.

Glimmer cap is a struggle for new players?

When each fragment costs 25k, super costs 10k, grenades and everything by else cost 1-5k glimmer. And there’s three light subclasses that use this method albeit less costly than void walker for whatever reason. I logged onto my girlfriends account and was welcome to a void warlock with only a jump and 3 grenades unlocked. It’s taken me at least a week to get most of the abilities and I know how to grind the game...

What's wrong with taking a week to unlock everything..?

Edited by XxMajestrosxX: 9/12/2022 11:48:06 PMWhat’s wrong with being able to use one of the three subclasses as I’d like to? Or to help teach a new light with abilities they don’t know about? If I were to love void for instance and have one grenade and one jump with no aspects or fragments now, how am I to enjoy that first week? Statistically the first game, such as a control match or a strike, gives the most insight as to whether you’d enjoy the game. And with a week timer being put on you to even obtain those abilities that make Destiny worthwhile, why would I want to dedicate more time? They could’ve at the very least given you access to something. They give Gift of Thunder now to give you a jumpstart yet don’t work towards helping you get abilities and your subclass in general.

If Destiny was the first rpg ever you'd have a point, but a gamer knows the concept of unlocking abilities over time. And Destiny is relatively quick compared to PSO2 or WoW or Division 2.

Not everyone will play as long? I can get 150 shards in a few hours of play if I just do the right activities. And that's even if I'm constantly replacing gear. The no-life sweats are demanding they give us more to spend so they can finally use up their thousands of shards and materials. The hyper-casuals that don't play whine and complain about not ever having enough shards or materials because they won't touch the game for more than 15-30 minutes at a time. Then there's the rest of us, who never struggle for materials or shards, and never have too many of them, because we don't no-life the game but we do still play it.
